Last Saturday I was invited onto SPACE to participate in a live panel discussion with Teddy Wilson, the host of InnerSPACE, and fellow panelists Kat Angus of Dose TV, Graeme Burk of the Doctor Who Information Network, and Gavin Stevens of Nerdgasm Comedy. The podcast from Space discussing the event is here and the blog entry I created for the lead up is here.
It was a fantastic and fun night, and I wanted to share it. First, we had to be at the studio at 5pm, even though the show wasn’t going on the air (live!!) until 10. It gave us a lot of time to get to know one another – although the executive producer put a moratorium on Doctor Who chatter to save it for the show – and to watch all the commercial bumpers. We also got coffee and cookies. 😀
Next followed hair and makeup and can I just tell you that I want to take those stylists home and lock them in my bathroom. Man-oh-man, I looked hawt.
Here’s an album of photos of the event. I think what I liked best was all of the people in costumes all around the set! It went so fast, too – it sure didn’t feel like an hour on our side of it.
After the show, we had some photos taken – and got swag! I now have the most super comfy SPACE zip up hoodie ever and if I could wear it to work, I would.
We all traipsed off to the local after that for some real down and dirty arguments about what we had all said on the show, lots of laughter, and the making of new friends. A lot of great fans were there, and some of my closest friends had come to support me, which I really appreciated.
All in all, it was an incredible, heady experience and I can’t wait to do it again!
When the video of the show is released on the internet, I will link it here.
