I’ll be reading from NINE-TENTHS on September 19th at 6:30pm, at Glad Day Lit Bookshop (at their new space at 32 Lisgar St., Toronto). I’ll be bringing along copies of Lips Like Ice, Time and Tide, and Nine-Tenths to sign, and the reading is going to be stacked with some great local talent.

See you there!

From the BlogTO Article:

The Bi+ Arts Festival Returns to Toronto September 18 to 21!

This 8th annual event showcases authors, drag performers, visual artists, comedians and more to resist bi+ erasure and amplify 2SLGBTQ+ voices.

As a community-based queer arts festival celebrating the voices of bisexual, pansexual, fluid and 2S artists, performers and writers, this year’s events include a magazine launch, an authors’ showcase, solo and group art exhibition receptions, multidisciplinary workshops and a closing cabaret featuring drag, music and stand-up comedy.

The festival will take place at some of Toronto’s most iconic queer locales and arts venues, including Three Dollar Bill in Parkdale, Glad Day Lit’s new home off West Queen West, Church Street (via a pop-up space) and more.

It’s Book Launch time!

For those of you who have been long-time readers of my newsletter, you’ll know that I first mentioned this book in late 2019. I won’t rehash the details of the many revisions, rejections, and re-thinks the novel has endured since then, but I will say that after six years, I am delighted to announce that the paperback version of the book is ready to be shared with the world!

And I am ready to celebrate.

If you’re in the Toronto area, come out to HOPELESS ROMANTIC BOOKSHOP on October 9th at 6pm, and join me in feting all the hard work I’ve put into learning how to publish my first entirely independent book.

There will be all the usual Book Launch Shennanigans: cupcakes, a reading, a Q&A, a signing, books for sale, and some extra giveaways while they last.

I hope to see you there!
